Copyright Education Campaign

Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Licensing Society has been organizing copyright education campaigns since 2007 to promote the respect copyright concept to students and the general public. The greatest significance of these campaigns is to foster students’ creativity, understanding of the creative industry and the importance of respecting copyright.

2024/25 Hong Kong Inter-School Respect Copyright Education Campaign

Media Luncheon cum Launching Ceremony of 2024/25 Hong Kong Inter-School Respect Copyright Education Campaign was held on October 7, 2024, organized by HKRRLS and co-organized by the IPD and the C&ED.

In the 2024-2025 school year, HKRRLS, in collaboration with IPD and C&ED, organized the 10th Hong Kong Inter-School Respect Copyright Education Campaign with the theme of  “Respect for Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation and Creativity for the Future”. This year, a special award for “Innovation and Respect for Intellectual Property” was also introduced in the “Secondary (Senior) and Tertiary School Group” to cultivate students’ awareness of innovation and technology as well as respect for copyright, and to emphasize the importance of the relationship between copyright protection and innovation and technology.

To continuously instill the importance of respecting intellectual property values, this year’s event features a dedicated website that serves as an educational platform for information on intellectual property. In addition to providing details about the awards, the site will regularly update knowledge related to respecting intellectual property and trademarks, as well as the latest trends and information. It will also organize voting activities and guessing games to offer the public information and educational resources regarding copyright respect, while simultaneously enhancing public participation.
